I am 14 yeas out from a gastric by-pass. Iron can be a problem for by-pass patients. My type bypasses 6 feet of small intestine therefore iron is a problem. Many years my iron ferritin levels were very low at 7 and below requiring iron transfusions. I have been taking this iron for a year and my ferritin is up to 52. Finally after 14 years I have found an iron that works!

This is the ONLY iron that has worked for me. I had an MGB gastric by pass in 2003, then due to obstruction ended up with short gut syndrome. I tried every other iron available. This was the only one that has worked for me. Insurance not longer pays for it, but with GoodRX I get 90 Days for under $25. I am a believer.

I'm 25 years post gastric bypass (Roux-en-y). I've been taking Ferocon twice daily since I had my GB and it has kept me from becoming anemic all that time. The only time I had problems with my iron levels was one period of a few months when I stopped taking it.

I have more energy, but I am having 5-7 episodes of diarrhea each day, intense abdominal pain and no appetite. I've been on Ferocon for 10 days now, so I'd think my body would have adjusted to it by now. I'm calling tomorrow to see if I should be switched to something else.

I have constant diarrhea, green stool, and am very tired. I have been taking this medication 2x/day for 10 days now. I am not satisfied and have made an appt. with my primary to get alternate options.

I have been diagnosed with Neuropoathy -- numbness and tinglinng in my feet and has transferred up to my legs. In reading other sites about Ferocon, I'm wondering if I'm not getting too much Vitamin B-12 -- seems like it is coming at me from all directions.
