When I went to the doctor I was obese and my thyroid was underactive. The doctor put me on 88mcg of L-Thyroxine. It kept changing until I learned from a nurse to take it 1 to 2 hours before eating. My medication has been at 50 mcg for 2 years now and I have lost from almost 200 pounds to 135. I am very pleased with this medication and have no side effects from it.

I would rather be taking methamphamine. (Kidding) I have been on this med for years and I can fall asleep on a dime. Not exactly on a dime, but I have no energy whatsoever. There has to be something to restore some of my energy. I am on 88mcgs. HELLO!!!!!! My doctor gave me a B12 shot. I slept for two days.

It droped the nubers from 4.52 to 2.53, however the weight gain is real depressing. In 6 mo I've gained 7 lbs.

My thyroid quit working. Although I was in the normal range, once taking the medication, I had some nodule growth in my thyroid which was causing a choking sensation, went to endocrinologist who suggested a half pill one day a week. It has since worked well. Nodules shrunk, no longer have choking. Still experience tiredness at times - possibly from other medications.

I have been on this medication as well as Synthyroid, and Levoxyl all have been equally effective in treating my hypothyroidism. I've been taking different doses of these meds for 18 yrs now.

HELPED WITH MOST SYMPTOMS, BUT NOT CONSTIPATION AND DRY MOUTH (V.TROUBLESOME) PERPLEXING, AS I HAVE NOW SOME HYPER SYMPTOMS FROM THE DRUG - I.E. OCCASIONAL PALPITATIONS, WHICH SUGGESTS OVERDOSAGE. I THINK THIS IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS DOCTORS WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE. CANNOT GET ANY OTHER MED FOR THIS AS I LIVE IN UK.
