This med was suposed to calm my spastic esophagus. I have experiences 0 relief

I havehad IBS for years; this is the only drug that helps the pain. However, I can't stand getting so dried out--even my voice gets hoarse! And I have constipation, so now I have to take extra fiber, because regular laxatives seem to precipitate IBS attacks. I take it only when absolutely necessary, such as when I am at work and the pain causes me to lose concentration. However, it takes at least an hour to two hours to work.

I have severe IBS. I've been on this medication for 4 years. Recently I've been taken off it and put on a probiotic, Align. STUPID! Align has done nothing to control my sypmtoms! Hyocyamine is AMAZING. I have control in my life with only the occasional (twice a month) flareup. Dry mouth only lasts awhile and is soooooooo worth it. Physiologically this med is the smart choice. It's an anticholernic/antiSPASMODIC. Align gives you more good enzymes in your intestines which is all well and good but does nothing for the intestional nerves/brain issue. Takes 30 min. to two hours to get relief from the pain. Takes longer for intestines to calm and stop moving and twisting.

It has reduced the pain of IBS. I still have daily attacks but now the pain is reduced and shortened. I appreciate what it has done for my condition.

I am unaware, or unaffected, by the possible side effects of this medication. Possibly because I am am doing well with this drug.

Works great for me. Dry mouth for a little while, but that only last for about an hour. I can go out with friends now and not have to worry about finding a bathroom every few minutes after eating.

I have been using hysocmine for a long time.I had good results.

After having a colonoscopy my system could not adjust to a regular diet. This drug helped calm by lower GI tract until the healthy flora came back into my digestive system. Only took one week with the help of this drug, sub for Nulev .125 mg.

This medication works for me. I was told by our pharmacy that the drug is discontinued and there is nothing to replace it. What is going on?

Has anyone used for a previously throat cancer pt who has no salivary glands from radition in 1994. He is now Acute Myloid Leukemia that has mesasised to Brain & other organs & I have him trying to spit & he can't. We clean with sponge swab and try to get current secretions out.He is home on Hospise 7 family & I am doing all I can & I am primary caregiver,afraid it will dry him too much as he can't drink or eat now & I am trying toput sips from a straw in his mouth ofwater,gingerale,juice.he was given days to 30 on May 29, 2008 and it has now been 31! Had IBS for 10 years or more. Doctors did not help at all!! Finally, internist listened to me and gave me this drug. Immediate relief and have been symptom free for more than 2 months! Now my pharmacist tells me it has been taken off the market. Why?

after 2 doses I'm still sitting on the pot! It hasn't slowed anything down.

I have ben on this med for IBS(Irratable Bowel Syndrum). I take the max dosage 4 of eth .175mg tablets. To help keep me from having severe constpiation I take 2 fiber laxatives. I have had no side effects what so ever.

HELPS SOME WHAT BUT STILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH GOINING TO BATHROOM,CONSIPATION AND BLOTING WITH SAVEIRE PAIN

this medicine has helped me tremendously. I have very little trouble with my upset stomach.
