This drug has been prescribed for me since the beginning of this year for several different procedures. I am now being titrated off of the drug. I have gained two inches of belly fat and am experincing some mood changes. Is this normal, and will it subside when I am off of this medication. My question is about side effects from this medication. Thanks

Retina detachment-used for 1st 6 wks in decreasing drops. Then told to continue for 2 more mos. Went back yesterday & Dr changed to other eye drops. Finally realized it had to be the drops causing a terrible, wheezing, consistent cough. Don't want to be around &annoy anyone. Anxious to start different drops today. Couldn't take anymore of this cough. Couldn't talk, laugh, sing, etc or it would...

I have been using this medication for years for flare up's due to uveitis. The drops taste horrible, when you put a drop in an eye right after press on your eye duct ( corner of your eye ) with your finger for about a minute. This helps the medication from draining to the back of throat- which taste awful and will give you an upset stomach. Have had to take once every hour for weeks with adding dilating drops for my cycle. It does work- but seems I flare up more when i completely stop. Have asked my doctor to keep me on a low dose to use at least 3x's a day to help keep it at rest. Hope this helps.Read More Read Less

I am being treated for Uveitis of the L eye. I, too, get an awful tasting post sinus drip which I believe has caused tongue soreness. I also get a whiteish film in the corner of my eye which is stubborn to remove. I have been using this product for three weeks now with no results. Uveitis is not easy to clear up so I give the Prednisolone Acetate a little more time.

For the past four months, I have had a serious inflammation of my eye that has not responded to any other medication. While it tastes bad for about 15 minutes, is a bit inconvenient to instill every 4 hours and has caused me to gain 6 pounds in the past 2 weeks of taking it, the redness is gone. I'll find out in 2 weeks if the inflammation has gone as well. If so, it was well worth it.

I am completely satisfied with this medication. I have allergic conjunctivitis and this medication stopped the severe itchiness immediately! It does form a small amount of a white substance in the corner of my eye but no other side effects. Thanks Doc!

I have Uveitis of the R eye and I have been on the eye drops for several months now without result. I don't even know why I'm still using them. I am also on another eye drop that doesn't seem to be working either.

I was prescribed this medication following cataract surgery. I, too, am dealing with the white gunk in the corner of my eye, the awful taste in my mouth after usage, and the sinusitis problems. I also have an upset stomach and additional digestive problems following usage. I am in the second week of my prescription, using the drops 3 times a day. Then I will go to twice a day for a week, and then once a day for a week. My vision is blurry so it is hard to tell how successful the cataract surgery was. I was also told to use otc artificial tears between the prescribed doses.Read More Read Less

I have been using this medicine for about 2 years and have not seen any results except for worse vision. I also dislike going to my optometrist at least once a month just to get pressure taken. Overall this medicine just is not for me and the taste of the drops is awful.

This was prescribed for me after cataract surgery when I developed a significant inflammation in both eyes - I have extremely dry eyes and these drops were prescribed along with OTC lubricating drops. The combinatiion worked well for me. Had the same issues with the white discharge and the "bad" taste following administration.

Not satisfied at all with this medication. It leaves a whiteish film in eyes that goes to corner of the eye. Is this suppose to be left in the eye or is this film to be taken out? No directions at all on the Rx box nor on the pamphlet inside the Rx box. Afterwards I would have itching and burning and pain down into my sinuses all around my entire eye clear up to my forehead. Is this a sign that the medicine is working? Or is this a sign I cannot use this medication? I wasn't thrilled about putting a steroid into my eyes in the first place!!! I wonder if this is causing more harm than good. My eye doctor said I have meibomianitis. When I looked up what that actually is...I had none of the symptoms. I think I was misdiagnosed. I have only used it twice. I refused to use it four times a day!!!!Read More Read Less

I had tremendous pain in the my eyes and my doctor prescribed this drops almost immediately I felt relief. But it left me with a real bad taste when it penetrated theback of my throat and I noticed that I started to cough a lot throughout the day, did anyone else experience this coughing side effect? Beside this side effect my eyes got much better after only 48 hours of using it.

I had narrow-angle glaucoma laser surgery and was prescribed Prednisolone Acetate Ophtalmic. I too had a post nasal drip bad taste after using the drops. Otherwise no adverse reactions. Kind of pleasant on the eyes with exception of white gunk in the corner.
