This drug has been prescribed for me since the beginning of this year for several different procedures. I am now being titrated off of the drug. I have gained two inches of belly fat and am experincing some mood changes. Is this normal, and will it subside when I am off of this medication. My question is about side effects from this medication. Thanks

Retina detachment-used for 1st 6 wks in decreasing drops. Then told to continue for 2 more mos. Went back yesterday & Dr changed to other eye drops. Finally realized it had to be the drops causing a terrible, wheezing, consistent cough. Don't want to be around &annoy anyone. Anxious to start different drops today. Couldn't take anymore of this cough. Couldn't talk, laugh, sing, etc or it would...

I've had so many bouts of iritis since 1998, can't count anymore how many. Have always used this since the start. The sad part of the need to use it so often and so much, is it also causes one to need cataract surgery, which I needed in both eyes about 3 yrs. ago and will most likely need in the future also. Also, it's so bitter and when it hits my stomach, causes nausea.

Have had Uveitis for 20+ years, and this drug really works to control what is a chronic condition that can eventually cause blindness if not controlled. Not sure what causes this inflammation, but it can be extremely painful. Don't use the generic! Doesn't work and there are studies. I was on a generic for several weeks and the condition only got worse, for the first time in my 20 years.

I had two cataract and two DSAEK corneal tissue implants total. Started this drug (along with others) more than six months ago at the start of these four procedures, and never had an infection or any problem, so I guess it works. Still using it three times/day. However, I am getting big hemorrhages in the white parts of my eyes very regularly - not painful really except discomfort just before they let loose -and it looks really awful! They take a couple days to go away and meanwhile it feels like there's something in my eye - that annoying feeling something is there. Anyway, my ophthalmologist says it's not an eye problem, its a blood pressure problem, but my BP is controlled at a low level and it's always fine when I check it shortly after the hemorrhage occurs. The drug sheet says an adverse reaction is conjunctival hyperemia; could Prednisolone be causing this?Read More Read Less

While it seemed to help at first, I also had eye socket pain and an irritating feeling in my eye. Supposed to use for 4 weeks. Not sure I`ll continue this.

Glad I didn't have an allergy to this drug. Since some of the eyedrops I have had problems with. Got over the bad taste the drop leaves.

Excellent at preventing pain and itching in eye following laser surgery. It may be the cause of dizziness and sleepiness.
