This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

I was prescribed this medicine when I was diagnosed with a severe gastrointestinal infection which had me doubled over in pain... it was the only medicine that helped ease the pain without making me nauseous, which is what most pain meds do to me. I took it for 4 days, taking the max dose every day, and did not have any "out of body experience", seizures, hallucinations, etc... I was able to go about my regular activities during the time I was on it, because it didn't make me sleepy at all. I would definitely recommend this drug to someone suffering with moderate to severe pain... Read More Read Less

I had shoulder surgery and was still experiencing pain in my bicep muscle. I had taken everything trying to get through the pain. It was constant. Took naprosyn and no help. Was prescribed Ultram 3 x daily and it took the swelling down and gave me more movement of my arm it also took away the trobbing constant pain in the arm that I alway felt was muscle related. After reexamination by the Dr. he said that it was definately inflamation if the med brought down the swelling and took care of the pain. The only complaint I have about the ultram is it makes me dizzy.Read More Read Less

What a Joke. I could get more relief from something from Over the Counter. It was a waste of my money. The company who makes this drug is probably making a killing, and the people who have to pay for it, is getting no relief what so ever. I will not waste my hard earned money on a prescription for this again.

I took this drug for arthritis pain years ago with no relief. Dr. prescribed it again yesterday for pain in my leg from a cyst that is growing. To my surprise it stopped the aching cold and allowed me to get a good night sleep for a change. Please remember to take with a full glass of water. It does help.

I HAVE FOUR SEVERE HERNIATED DISCS IN MY NECK AND BACK. I FIND TAKING ULTRAM WITH NAPAROSYN IS THE BEST COMBINATION - YOU GET THE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY RELIEF PLUS PAIN RELIEF AND IT LASTS FOR 4-6 HOURS

It gives me little to no relief from my back pain. I also use 50mcg. of fentanyl patches, and the tramadol is for break- through pain.

My doctor had prescribed this drug for the extreme amount of pain I have during my menstrual cycle. It did help, but I had a HORRIBLE reaction. I had to go to the emergency room because I could not urinate at all! I had to have a catheter put in for 2 days and they said it was a bad reaction to this medication. So anyone who is considering this, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

I have been taking pain meds for severe chronic back pain for 15 years. I've had everything, including morphine sulfate (time released). Ultram (tramadol) has been a blessing!

I have a large polyp on ovary, and awaiting surgery. Pain is intense, and my body is immune to Vicodin now, so Doctor put me on Ultram. It worked for first month, but now my body is immune to this too. Pharmacist told me to take the max of 400 milligrams a day...I still do less, but now it doesn't work at all, and now my body is suffering side affects for being on this medication so long. The Doctor won't prescribe me anything stronger for the pain for fear of addiction. But, they have now made my body "addicted" to Ultram. I take it very little as possible, just to relive the side affects and wean myself off this stuff. Read More Read Less
