This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

Please use CAUTION when taking this madication. Since it is a synthetic opiate you can develop a severe psychological dependence! I've been taking this medication once daily, sometimes twice, and I can't think about going a day without. Its no longer helping as much with my back pain and I dare not up the dose for fear of greater dependence. Its almost as if I get a very subtle up high on it. Initially the medication was a godsend for the back pain I had when I was caught in a structure fire and had to make a ladder bail. I would be very interested in speaking with anyone who has had a similar experience. Read More Read Less

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I have pain in my jaw one day and the next, pain in my knee. Then, the next, pain in my arm and so on, an ongoing every-day struggle. I never know where the pain's going to be the next day. I'll take the Ultram and it works in 5 or 10 minutes. It's truely a blessing.

Took Ultram 50mg 2x per day for Pseudtotumor Cerebri / Intracranial Hypertension related headaches. Worked miracles for a few days, but then a side effect my docter did not read up on was additional increased intracranial pressure which made my headaches worse. After two weeks, I had to stop taking and was surprised to have withdrawal that included diarrhea, neaseau and insomnia.

I began using Ultram for pain associated with fibromyalgia. I am a 40-year-old male who works out regularly, but still experiences achy and uncomforatble sensations. Ultram makes my mood better and increases my energy and motivation. Most importantly, it allows me to sit for hours and read or grade papers without feeling miserable. I switched from 200 mg a day to 100 because the higher dose gave me headaches and made me edgy; I am now detoxing and hope the 100 mg works more effectively. The detoxing is not pleasant: lethargy, headaches, chills/hot flashes, etc. are common. I also take Mobic, and the combination for my fibromyalgia has made life bearable. Read More Read Less

Low back pain due to arthritis and nerve pinch. Have been taking 50mg 3 to 6x/day of Ultram for 14 months as I've been going through treatments and physical therapy. I've been able to conduct my normal life due to this medication. I do hope to be painfree without medication someday but until then I am happy there is pain relief with only a small chance of addiction. The effect on mental state is similar but not as strong as vicodin but is almost as strong when it comes to controlling pain. Previous Dr. was concerned about drug control but now with a Managed Pain care Dr. and she has no problems helping me control my pain with this medication.Read More Read Less

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but now that the migraines have gotten worse it doesn't help at all, and my doctors aren't increasing it or giving me a new pain pill.

DR. perscribed it for my endomertiosis pain. I took it like the bottlt said , It didn't even get rid of my pain.I tryed a double dose to see if that would help and still had the same paine. The ins. co. would not even help pay for the script, I can see why now. I wasted $40.00 on a script that don't work.I know other people who took Ultram , they said the same thing it was a waste of money.

Our Drs are so hassled by the thought of every person taking narcotics for long periods must be a druggie and just seeking a "high." Ultram is being prescribed for severe pain and the patients suffer because the doctor doesn't want to answer any questions. Even when they have operated on you for the 5th time.

Have taken it for fibromyalgia for quite a few years. Works well enough so that I'm able to work 30 hrs a week and I'm 60 yrs old.
