This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

To the person who posted that the ultram has not relieved her pain, I AM WITH YOU! I have had RA for 36 yrs and tried the ultram for several months. Not only did it not help with the pain, I became very emotional and some might say severely depressed. I stopped it before anything "bad" happened.

I SUFFER FROM CHRONIC SHOULDER PAIN. I HAVE LIVED WITH CONSTANT, ENABLING PAIN FOR SEVEN YEARS AND THOUGHT NOTHING WOULD EASE THE PAIN. I HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS MEDICATION FOR ONE WEEK NOW AND AM PLEASED TO REPORT THE PAIN HAS DRAMITICALLY DECREASED. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I WOULD HAVE IS THAT THIS MEDICATION MAKES ME EXTREMELY DIZZY AND QUEASY (I FELL THIS IS MY LITTLE PRICE TO PAY FOR COMFORT). I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MEDICATION TO ANYONE WHO SUFFERS FROM CHRONIC PAIN ON A DAILY BASIS.

I've been taking this for 2-3 days so far for muscle pain in my leg at 50mg. every 8 hrs. So far it's been pretty effective on the pain as I now can bear some weight on my leg. Only thing is it makes me a little dizzy, gives me a headache, makes me restless/keeps me awake at night. Has this ever happened to anyone else here or is it just me??

Have only been taking this medication for about a week. First couple of days, I was thrilled with the results! After that I began noticing dizziness and lightheadedness all day (taking 50mg every 4 hours for chronic knee arthritis pain), just yesterday I began feeling sick to my stomach as well. Didn't take any meds for the last 24 hours and feel that those side effects have nearly gone away.

I have been taking only a 50 mg. tablet for several years at night before I go to bed to help me go to sleep. I have decided that I don't need this aid anymore and quit taking the one tablet. I learned that I must be addicted to this small milligram amount as after about 2 hours sleep I begin aching...twitching and just restless all over. Any suggestions as to how I can get over this?...Maybe with time?...I was just taking such a small dose I had no idea I would get "hooked"....Thank You

I use this medicine for pain that is resulting from Carpal Tunnel and Ulnar Nerve Displacement. For the most part it works fine, provided I take it before the pain gets too bad. It doesn't work well enough at night though, so i have to take a stronger medication at that time.

I have been taking Tramadol for nearly 4 years-I have endometreosis that is inoperable (spreading to other organs from the uterus) as well as nerve damage in my arms. It barely takes the edge off the pain. Just enough for me to get out of bed... The one warning I would like to give is that this drug is HIGHLY addictive! I was to the point where I was taking entirely too much trying to deal with my pain. I discussed this issue with my doctor and we have slowly been weaning me down. I now take 4 50mg tablets a day. Does absolutely nothing to control my pain but I am so horribly addicted to it. If I don't take it exactly every 6 hours I begin to have withdrawl symptoms (GI upset, sleeplessness, "crawly" skin, and total irate behavior). We hope to wean me down to no Tramadol within the next few months. I really don't want to have to go into detox for this! If I had known then what I know now... Don't take this drug for any extended period of time-trust me!Read More Read Less
