This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

Save yourself the time and money of seeing a dr and getting a script filled. Buying a bottle of over-the-counter Tylenol (which does not work for me, but pains and drugs differ for individuals) would be just as effective.

I have been very satisfied with Ultram, however I was recently diagnosed with liver disease and wonder if the Ultram has contributed to the disease.

I think I am a tough guy and dont like to get adequate pain control because i am scared i will get addicted to something stronger even though you CAN! get addicted to tramadol. So if you can get addicted to something so weak then why not just use something like vicodin or even codeine? This way you are not in so much pain. oioids are not evil and people who think they are are ignorant.

I take ultram to help with my pain coming from 2 pars fractures in my spine. I had extreme nausea when I began taking but now take promethazine (a nausea medication) with it every time and it works better than anything else I have ever taken! Causes drowsiness but I can still function and think clearly. No other side affects which is great!

Do not start taking this drug!! It is terrible!! The pain relief is not good and you are better off taking another type of drug like hydrocodone for pain. I was on tramadol for one month because my doctor said it was non-addictive. It did not work so after a month I stopped and the withdrawls floored me. Nausea, cold sweats flu-like symptoms for over a week all from this medicine. Others on these websites warned me of the terrible withdrawls and addictive nature but I didn't listen PLEASE do not take this!! My doctor still thinks it is a great drug (maybe she needs to try it and see for herself) I wouldn't let my worst enemies go through what I just went through this past week. It's not worth it-go with the opoids and also look up tramadol withdrawls before you get off of the drug. Good luck.Read More Read Less

This medicine was prescribed for me to lessen the pain of a severe stress fracture of the femur at the hip. The option was a 3 pin surgical repair. I have had no problems with this medicine and discontinued it without withdrawl problems after 3 weeks. I have 7 weeks left to go in a walker, but I credit this medicine for helping me at least become mobile again.

I take 1-2 Ultracet a day to control chronic cough. I have done this for about four years. one caplet controls my cough for 12 hours. It keeps me awake so I do not take one at bedtime.

When other painkillers, such as Lortab. If the pain is bad enough it's a great help when you're taking stronger pain meditation every 4-6 hours, it's a big help.
