This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...
I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

I am shocked when reading the reviews of pain relief and addiction. I have been prescribed Ultram on several occasions and always assumed it was just prescribed as one step up from Ibuprophen. I have never taken more than the prescribed dosage but have never felt any effect either. Apparently it has different effects on different people.

I take ultram for back pain (herniated disks) works worders- it is addictive and the withdrawls are awful, but it works for relieving pain and letting me live my life, like any other thing in life you have to be responsible- I have taken vicoden, percocet, darvocet....and Ultram seems to work the best, been taking faithfully for 2.5 yrs six 50mg tablets a day-

Don't believe the label "non-narcotic". This medication can be highly addictive in many cases.

Was relieved to hear this was a non-narcotic, however, the effects feel like a narcotic. Actually, I feel more "doped up" with Ultram than I did with the Vicodan I was given in the ER. Now, the medication has worked well for pain relief with my ankle injury. Have noticed balance and coordination loss when taking this. Unable to perform my job tasks in an office setting when taking Ultram.

Drug was prescibed for spinal degeneration, drug worked great, till 2 months. Became shakey, had severe headache, constipated, confused, angry, and desperated for the next dose. Not living like this, rather have the back pain. Dr said I have to take this, I refuse to act like a desperate drug addict waiting for the next pill. Quit the pills, quit my doctor

I wantd to take something that would not cause addiction and something that would not make me overly drowsy. I took this med every day for nearly 5 months. The effectiveness of pain relief was so-so....it would take the immediate edge away. After my physical therapy was completed, I stopped taking this med, and went through horrible and drawn-out withdrawls! Sleepless nights, constant drowsiness, every night while attempting to sleep my left arm would involuntarily tense up and twitch and cramp on me, and I was very angry, also. I was told that wouldn't happen as this is a "non-narcotic", but I have NEVER had those symptoms with any other drug in the past.....Even with Oxycodone post surgery. Beware!Read More Read Less

I am taking Gleevec, which limits what I can take for pain. Tramadol has done the job for me. The only side effect which I notice is drowsiness. If there is any other pain reliver that is compatible with Gleevec I would be interest in hearing about it.

The medicine did a great job at relieving my lower back pain. However when I tried to stop it I had very severe diarrhea and I felt very anxious.
