This medication works well with minimal side effects. It mutes the pain levels down to a point where you can concentrate on daily activities without feeling "drugged".... There are two very important points to this medication that cannot be ignored without side effects. Overdosage: From all the blogs I've found, overdosage often results in sleeplessness. Headaches and stomach cramps are a...

I only gave one star, because iv never taken this medication. ( yet) Celebrex 200 mg for a year, I can get out of bed and be somewhat normal, but have not walk more then 50 yards without pain. ( L4-L5-S1-Hip problems) nine injectings over the three years all NSADS, PT twice. Can this be taken with Celebrex? Has anyone taken both together?

I am 32 and have been using this for a few years it works well but they (the docs)told me it was non narcotic they also didn't tell me it would be so hard to stop using. I have tried to lower my dose slow but still having withdraw horrible ear pain, head aches, and mood swings this has been so hard for me. the ear pain has lasted at least a week so far and I am just on a lower dose how long will this last? it seems just as bad as narcotic withdraw why don't the docs tell that this could happen instead they pretend it will fix you and don't bother telling you its hard as hell to stop taking it Read More Read Less

my doctor put me on this, and i took it three times a day for a little over a week. it did nothing for my pain (fibromyalgia), and the side effects were crazy...severe constipation, dry mouth and sore tongue, lightheaded (i actually fell),and i'm not sure but i think it was effecting my blood sugar. the whole time i took it my level was higher than normal. i definitely will not take this again.

Ultram was given for pain caused by a 6cm X 4cm soft tissue ulcer below my ankle on my left leg. I did not receive any relief from the pain (level 8) after taking Ultram. I threw them down the drain and got a box of Goody Powders. Finally got some pain relief !!!!

i have used it for 20 years or so. it doesnt take away the pain, it takes away the debilitating effects of the pain. in other words it manages the pain. I am allowed to think about things besides pain, and do much more than just lay in bed and sulk. It doesnt make you high, so there is no reason for abuse. regular pain pills are a joke, a mask, or a fog with many unhealthy side effects.

This is the best alternative drug verses Opiates. If you still have pain during use contact your dr. for change in dosage. The side affects I have have do not interfere with my day.

i was on tramadal for 10 years and 8 of them i had severe intestinal problens. finally i decided enough is to much so i quit taking it. i found out it was the worst withdraw i had ever seen anyone go thru. but being a detirmend person i stayed off . it took me weeks and months to get over the withdraw. so people dont let anyone tell you its not addictive. it is worse then opaitaddiction cause i went thru that 30 yeARS AGO. and while i was taking it i had a large range of side effects like very bad dizzy spells. fast heart rate then slow heart rATE. SHOCK FEELINGS THRU OUT MY BODY MY THINKING WAS COMPLETELY OFF THE WORSE DRY MOUTH THERE IS CONSTANT CONSIPATION TO THE POINT I WAS EATING LAXATIVES DAILY MOOD SWINGS UP AND WAY DOWN I COULD GO ON AND ON SO PLEASE PEOPLE THINK BEFORE YOU TAKE IT. JUST TO CONFIRMED WHAT IVE SAID IVE BEEN OFF 105 YEARS AND ALL THE BAD THINGS HAVE WENT AWAY. I FEEL THIS DRUG IS AS BAD IF NOT WORSE THE VICODIN LORTABS MORAPHINE AND A LIST OF OTHERS. ITS A KILLER IN MY BOOK. SO IVE CLOSED THAT BOOK FOR ALLTIME. Read More Read Less

I have been taking Ultram for less than a month for joint pain. I have had a total knee replacement and major surgrey on the other knee due to arthritis. I have been suffering with constant pain in my joints for sometime. This medication has given me tremendous relief. How long can I take this medication. Does this medication have any drug interaction with Wellsbutrin or busbar?

I was given Tramadol for pain resulting from chronic pancreatitis. Anyone familiar with pancreatitis is aware that no only the abdominal area is painful, but also the lower back. Also does nothing for appetite, I need to gain 15-20 pounds

Ultram is very addictive. How ever it is a pain med, It also reduced my depression that I have. My side effects are blurred vision, itchy skin. I would scratch so hard at times that I would bleed. Sever morning hang over. Over all I am very happy with this drug, It controls my pain- and it is mild. Be careful not to over use it, because then you want more and more. If you are going through that then call your doctor. Don't stop taking it cold turkey because it will cause some very unpleasant side effects. Again its easy to abuse. And if you want to get off it then to make a smooth transition - you will need to go to Medical Detox. Or cut down on it slowly and carefully. It is very psychologically addictive and although it is not meant to treat depression, it has for me. Depression and my pain ran hand in hand. Its easy to abuse especially if you have a lot of problems. Seek professional help. I have told my therapist once my shoulder and back injury gets better than I will slowly get off it, or detox. Over all its a good drug if used as directed. Good luckRead More Read Less

My Dr. told me two tabs very 4 hours after rotator cuff surgery. I took 4 tabs, three time daily for a month after surgery. I began having minor dizzy spells so I quit this drug after 30 days. Within 48 hours I was in severe withdrawal, lasting 5 days. Uncontrolable diaheria, muscle spams, hot sweat chills, etc. It was agony. ill never exceed a dosage recommendation.again.

Some of the generic drugs make me feel like a Zombie, others make me overly sleepy. I am now taking the non-generic "expensive" ultram and find I have less side effects
