I have insomnia and can't sleep without a sleeping pill. I'm also an addict so I'm not allowed any strong narcotics. Trazodone has worked very well for me. I've been taking it for over a year now. I started at 100mg and am now up to the max of 300mg/night. I will have to find another pill once this starts to become ineffective. But it puts me to sleep nicely and I don't feel anything linger the ne...

I have terrible insomnia and always searching for something to help me with this. I have tried this several times over the course of a year and did not like the way it made me feel the next day. Also did nothing for my sleep. Thought I would try it again one last time to see if it would be different this time. No. Couldn't sleep and next day I felt like I had a terrible hangover all day. I had no ...

I take traz 100mg for insomnia. It’s the only medication that can make me sleepy without making my restless leg syndrome issues act up(tingles in joints. Impossible to fall asleep with). I really like trazadone because once It kicks in I can start falling asleep without feeling dizzy or sick. It also keeps me from waking up 10 times a night. My only complaint is sometimes I SWEAR some of the pills are duds. Sometimes there is zero affect. It’s odd. This past week I took my dose for 4 nights in a row with zero effect. Then on the 5th night the drowsiness kicked in like it’s supposed to. It doesn’t feel like a built up tolerance. It just seems like some of the pills don’t have drug in them. It’s weird. Otherwise, trazadone allows me to get a good nights sleep without feeling messed up and groggy in the morning. Read More Read Less

I started Trazodone (3 times a day at the same time)for major depressive disorder, severe anxiety and trouble sleeping. Since starting this medication (fairly recent) my mood has improved tremendously, energy levels have increased, anxiety has improved and when I take my last dose of the day before bed, I actually fall asleep faster and stay asleep. I have no side effects from Trazodone and nothing negative to say, only positive feedback. After trying several other medications that didn't work, I am very happy I finally found one that works for me!Read More Read Less

I've had insomnia since I was a kid. I started taking trazodone at least 25 years ago. Trazodone has made me a happy regular sleeper. I usually fall asleep quickly and stay asleep. I've had friends who have felt knocked out by it. But for me, it's made a big impact on my quality of life.

With chronic conditions, they jam antidepressants down our throats claiming they will help for so many "off label" uses. Very rarely they actually explain some possible side effects such as anxiety, depression, nausea, etc, they NEVER explain that just like the desired effects of the meds, the side effects also take time to start and to build up. You're not just super anxious or depressed or vomiting the next day. Could be weeks or months. So by then you never suspect this antidepressant they force down your throat is what's causing these horrible side effects. For 13 YEARS I suffered from constantly worsening debilitating nausea and feeling like I could constantly vomit. I stopped taking it and the nausea was immediately gone. But also was the horrendous debilitating anxiety that had been plaguing me all these years. had me wound tighter than 1000lbs spring. Lost everybody in my life due to it. Including my son and granddaughter, only happiness left in my life. Does anybody else find it interesting that then whenever we complain about a new symptom or wanting further testing in the future, all these doctors claim we're just depressed. But then guess what, how much can we argue because we all just happen to be on antidepressants?!?! Just a coincidence, I don't think so.Read More Read Less

50 mg didn’t work at all so I took two 50 mg. It only made me sleepy but I still couldn’t sleep. I took Three 50 mg tablets, I was finally able to sleep well. When I finished all the 30 tablet, I was prescribed 150 mg (a whole tablet). It didn’t work at all! I took it for 2 nights no, it didn’t work at all. What’s the difference between taking 3- 50mg tabs and taking one150mg tablet? That puzzles me.

Trazadone caused my heart to malfunction. Put me in the ER twice. I had no idea that Trazadone was the problem until I stopped taking it. I say this with 100% certainty. That's just me. Hopefully, your experience is not the same.

Basically I took 50mg for the first time last night. Because of the mCPP in it that's a know anxiety causing agent, I had a panic attack with heart palpitations, shortness of breath, & feelings of panic and overwhelm. It may work for other people, but it just didn't work for me unfortunately.

It's it not only a sleep medication but also a depressant. The pills are not worth it! The first week I felt just fine, slept well and I can say as first I felt as if I was in a better mood. But it's really just a mind thing. (Medicine to make you "feel" better). It has been about two weeks. Had the worst/ most realistic dream I've ever had today. Feel shaky after waking up( not from the dream) Lower back hurts after taking this medication and I was only taking 50mg couldn't imagine keeping this medication not a second longer.. I wouldn't recommend for your health/ safety. Read More Read Less

I took trittico as an alternative for zinovat because my doctor told me it would be better. Since I had it, I was dizzy, nauseous, blurry vision, extreme headache, felt like I’m gonna pass out AND I threw up. Had these for a whole day. Never taking it again. Really bad experience.

I have taken Trazodone for almost 40 years over the past few years I started developing debilitating neuromuscular issues. From severe headaches, muscle weakness and cramps and paralysis. I have been to several Neurologist and testing no answers My condition is now debilitating. His only response was it is a great possibility that long term use can cause these symptoms
