Have been taking this medication for a long time, 50mg. My blood pressure got much better and it began dropping to low so I started taking only 1/2 a pill and it stays at a great level.

I was prescribed Atenolol for high blood pressure, which has not been a real issue until I became pregnant w/ my first child, 5 years ago. I have had 3 kids since & the HBP seemed to be situational. My breathing and heart rate are not as erratic. The only time I struggle with this drug is if I do intense cardio workouts. If under stress, exhausted or ingestine of too much alcohol is taken, the medication does not work as well.

I had severe migraines as many as 3 times a week but once I started taking atenolol they were reduced to 1 every couple of months. It was very easy to use.
