I had small wart on the shaft of my penis, used this gel twice a day for three days. My wart turned black and scabby and then fell off. After applying get it burned, but was nothing too painful. I suspect that many of the people claiming lots of pain were using it on more sensitive areas? If this is for warts on your penis it just burns and is nothing you can't handle.

I had a bump really close to the vaginal opening, very sensitive skin. I believe women experience a lot more pain than men based on these reviews because it's impossible to see where the gel is going, perhaps I've applied too much. The first 3 days were ok, no change, but not a lot of pain either. The second week I applied again for 3 days and by the 3rd day here I was crying just attempting to...

For those of you seeing no results and feeling little pain, don't worry. I read that the pain can be excruciating from many sites and that those with terrible pain usually lost their growths within the first cycle. So by the time I got to the end of my 2nd cycle, with very little change (maybe slightly smaller), and no pain I was convinced condylox wouldn’t work. I was wrong. By the time I got to the 3rd cycle, I was definitely feeling a bit sore, and insanely itchy. I was worried though, because though I bled a bit if I messed with it, not really any “pain”. Just irritation. I had a cluster of four warts that basically looked like four large skin tags. Honestly, since I can’t see it clearly, that’s what I thought it was for a year or so. Anyways my cycle was shower, put on the medicine, stick a fan over it for ten minutes, put on the pain relief Neosporin, and then slap on a bandaid. On my 3rd cycle they disappeared. I’ve read a lot of people talk about them “falling off,” but that’s not what happened to me. I would have seen something large and gross in the bandaid. The small shrinkage I experienced during the second cycle sped up ten times, and within those three days I went from four 1/3 inch “tags” to nothing. It did seem to leak a yellow fluid though, and it smelled nasty without the bandaid. (btw, get one that breathes) But it never fell off. During the 3rd cycle it went very white, and the next time I changed the bandaid most of them were tiny. Seriously, they just shrunk, and I wanted to cry with relief. It’s awful to know you have them. I’m not quite done, and I really want to know how to know that you’re “finished” with the cycle. If I grab the area I can feel a sort of hard lump in it. Do I stop when it’s at skin level? Before? Beneath? No doctor has given me a straight answer. Anyways, even if it just brought them to skin level, the fact that they are no longer these raised masses on my body makes me feel clean again.Read More Read Less

No pain. Easy to use. Got nervous it wasn't working but on the 7th day everything was cleared and healed. Very sastified. Pretty penny for this medication even with insurance. Hopefully it stays clear. Keep area dry as much as possible. Use applicator tip only on the wart. Blow dry before moving around.

Just finished my first week. No pain. No change. Will continue to use in hopes of the medicine needing a little bit more time. $164 not fun. Doctor said "uhhh those could? be...GW...They don't really look like it." But then prescribed this anyway. May need second opinion.

Worst pain of my life but at least it worked. This is the first time I have had to treat something like this and by the third day I was almost in tears just thinking about having to apply this evil burning gel but I gritted my teeth and did it. On day n4 I finally got some respite and on day 5 the wart basically sloughed away almost like an old blister. I am hoping I won't have to do a second week of treatment!

Females listen up!! Second week on medication. You absolutely need someone to apply it to areas you can not reach, or areas that need to be held open to DRY! If you have them on your rectum...You will need monostat, clean wipes, and panty liners. Hold area open and apply ONLY to warts. Keep area open to air dry at least a full minute or you get it on skin that doesn't need it.That skin will die!A fan helps a lot! They do start to come off after the first week, usually when you wipe and it does hurt. You can get skin tears. If you do and it is on your rectal area, you must keep it clean and dry or you will get a yeast infection there. The areas weep and cause wetness. A yeast infection has a noticeable odor and the area turns white. Here is what I did. Cleaned area three times a day and applied monostat. The areas were bleeding and weeping so I used a panty liner. Peel off the back and fold it in half . Put it in between the buttocks to keep the area dry at all times. You may need to change it a few times a day till the area heals enough to stop doing it. Yes it is uncomfortable. BUT please listen to me and this will get you through it. I am on my second week. All 7 of my vaginal warts fell off the first week. 5 of my rectal warts fell off as well. You can do this!!! Remember that once they are gone you still have the virus and you can get more warts...and spread it to your partner. The quickest way to know if the virus is gone is a pap smear. Wait a month or two and get checked. Then get checked again when your doctor suggests it. You can carry this virus for up to two years. Do others a favor and use condoms!!! Check yourself often. One wart on the rectum and be spread to your partner through skin contact. So get on top!! Yes I am explicit but you need to know. Best of luck to you. Hope you take my advice so you do not suffer like I did the first week. BEST of luck! Read More Read Less

So after doing about 8 acid treatments at my gyno's office my warts kept coming back so we decided to try Condylox so I could just treat at home. I was afraid of the pain but I would by no means call it intolerable. Putting the gel on really only stung a little. But after the second day of treatments I started to get very sore. I couldn't bring myself to do the last treatment on the third day. But I was amazed when I looked by the end of the fourth day. They were all gone! And I had a lot over a large area. Granted, there was some bleeding and definite soreness but in my opinion, if it works, it's worth it. And I'm sure it isn't any worse than having them cut off. Plus I have the added benefit of being able to attack them by myself whenever they come back. There were some good tips on here for using Condylox: use the applicator tip and Q-tips to make sure you only put it directly on the warts. Better to err on the side of using too little than too much. Use a hairdryer to dry the area before getting dressed or moving around. Take ibuprofen while you're on it. And neosporin with the added pain killer is great to use on your off treatment days. On a side note, I don't have health insurance and the tube ran me about $450. I know it's expensive but I still saved money in the long run over constantly going to the doctor's office for treatments. And you really use very very little of it.Read More Read Less

I had three clusters of bumps on my labia. For the 3 days on it burned...bad. It is now the 4th day and the skin has turned white and the warts are now smoothing away. The pain is more unexpected than anything else. I think it hurts so bad because I have never felt that kind of pain before. I discovered the small nozzle to concentrate the gel on the warts on my night treatment the first day. Pair that with a precision tip qtip and you're good to go. So far, so good.

This stuff is amazingg!!!! I got cryotherapy twice and it actually made it worse so my dr. Gave me condylox to use, it was 30 dollars if you have kieser and your copay is 15. if you have days where you don't have to do anything or you'll be at home id recommend using it on those days. I put it on with a q tip but I put extreme bare min. 3 times a day and I DID NOT RUB IT IN. I dabbed it with the q tip and dried it with a hair dryer. It didn't sting until I got up but I lounged on the couch for a good couple hours and I didn't feel a thing. I did this for the 3 days and I saw extreme improvement.. the rest days all the warts fell off and trust me.. I had a lot. It made my skins extremly dry though and cracked. I had a few lesions but I put neosporn with pain relief on it and it helped a lot. I didn't feel anything at all. All the side effects and the pain are seriously a small price to pay for getting rid of your warts in just 3 days.. I def. Recommend this for anyone that has warts.. Read More Read Less

This stuff works! But use the head of a straight pin to apply it. Keeps it off your healthy skin. All my warts fell off within four days. It is awkward to apply but well worth it. Glad those things are off my body.

Had a few warts on shaft of penis and a cluster of them at base of shaft (size of quarter). Used as prescribed, was careful to keep off healthy skin. By day 4, cluster of warts turned white and the skin peeled off with much pain. They appear to be gone, will let the area heal some more before i apply 2nd treatment(if needed, i think i see some wart tissue i may of missed). I have used Aldera in the past with no results, i have removed warts with OTC wart medicine (salitic acid,sp), however they always return. while there is pain involved i am pleased with this drug and hope they are gone for good. bummer of an std.Read More Read Less

Worked but looked like a horror movie down there. Doctors have much better treatments at their disposal! Seems like the docs and med companies are making extra cash by having us burn our genitals off at home, when they should be removing them in a clinival setting! Stay away...CHEMICAL BURNS!!!

The doctor told me it was going to burn of course. Agreeing with everyone else it burned like crazy. The directions I was given was 2x a day for 3 days then 4 days without(I suppose so it won't damage the skin). Within 2 days of using this about 90% of the warts were gone. Even a day or two after off of it my rectum was still sore and hurt like nobody's business. I'm on my second round today, I'm pretty happy with the results. Just the price is ridiculous, I paid $63 on Anthem Blue Shield. Originally it would have cost $350. Now if only it worked for internal as well I would love it. Read More Read Less

The pain was horrible! After my 1st use, skin turned white. 2nd use, skin turned red and started bleeding. Appointment at Kaiser tomorrow. I will never use this again!!! The stupid part is that the pharmist told me not to use my fingers but to use a Q-Tip. How are you to aim at the target with a Q-Tip? If this medication is so powerful and you only need to apply to wart, how in the heck is the Q-Tip gonna know where the wart is?? So now I have my whole thing red and bleeding.

I would like to start out by saying that I read through one page of reviews, and everyone complains about the pain. Well, I took Aldara for FOUR months straight, with next to no results, and by the end of those four months my scrotum and surrounding areas were extremely red and painful (and stayed red for over a month afterwards). I just finished my first week of condylox, and yes, it burns and it's uncomfortable, but quite a few warts are already scabbing up. I suppose I had some experience with the aldara and I quickly learned that using more wasn't better. Use it *as directed* and only apply a thin layer. Also, in the off days it may be possible to use something called "solarcane," it's a numbing sunburn spray you can get at walmart and it can also be used for blisters, scrapes, etc and it helps quite a bit. Although I didn't ask my Dr. if that's something I should be using... Also, the price depends on whatever your copay is. It was only $5 for me. Read More Read Less

my 5yr old was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum about 3 yrs ago and i was given condylox to put on the bump there was immediate reaction. The condylox took care of the problem. We were both happy they are painful it starts out as a lg bump and is surrounded by heat then come to a head and start to ooze a clear liquid. Just the other day I notice one on her head right on top which I am asking her dr about. Condylox is a great med to treat what my daughter has. If your child is diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum and you get the read up on condylox dont worry about it saying it treats genital warts. I flipped out till the dr said try it you will be happy with the results and I was and so was my daughter. Good LuckRead More Read Less

Condylox Gel is like a little tube of napalm. The instructions say to use it twice a day but in my case once a day was enough! It definitely works, I give it that but if you’re not careful it will eat a hole in your skin.
